Freshen Up Your Home With Color

Bring a new dimension and experience to your life by transforming your home inside and out with new colors. Invigorate your outdated family room and energize your bedroom with one of the new hot color trends of the season.  A fresh coat or two of paint can instantly change the mood, ambiance and energy of a room.

When selecting paint colors for your home its imperative to know what mood you are trying to achieve, how you intend to use the space and more importantly which colors you really love.

Are you drawn to calming neutral schemes or bright colorful spaces?

For thousands of years China, India and Egypt have studied the philosophies and relationships between color and energy – in order to strike a spiritual balance in their lives.

So before you head down to the paint store, here is some insight into the mood provoking colors of the rainbow and the energies they emit.

  • Its intensity has a stimulating and exciting effect.
  • Is a warm and seductive color that exudes power and confidence.

  1. We must be on the same page Lori, I too wrote about color on my blog today! Must be all that added rain we’re not used to this time of year. Nothing beats the greys or the blues then bright colors. As always, I enjoy your posts! thanks…

Thanks so much for your sweet comment Irene. Your blog and posts are fabulous as well. Mutual admiration……
It is definitely time for a color infusion for us all.
      Be well.

  2. Love this breakdown of color choices, Lori! I think this is really helpful to consider when selecting a color for your home – especially when you consider which rooms you want to paint!

I agree that testing out different colors is a great way to help you decide. Those little paint samples are great! However, instead of painting directly on your wall, it helps to paint on a sample board so you’re not dealing with covering up the “evidence” later!

Julie. I love the idea of painting on sample boards and would love to try out your product “My Small Wall” It’s a great concept…..the flexibility allows you to move around different walls within the space. Colors do change from wall to wall due to the light exposure.
      Thanks.
